The company's promised about 30 games for the launch lineup but has only explicitly confirmed 25 for the U.S. so far: First-party titles include Nintendogs & Cats, a focus of Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime's 3DS presentation, plus Steel Diver and the previously-announced Pilotwings Resort.
The 3DS is also getting large support from third-party publishers like Capcom and Ubisoft; Super Street Fighter IV 3D, which looks set to feature a relatively robust online component, was shown prominently at today's Amsterdam event for European audiences.
Ubisoft also touted its firm 3DS plans out of the gate, with a total of eight games in the works:Rayman, Splinter Cell, Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, Asphalt 3D, Rabbids 3D, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, James Noir's Hollywood Crimes and Driver: Renegade.
Nintendo's also confirmed that 3DS versions of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Kid Icarus: Uprising and Star Fox 64 are imminent, and that new titles in popular Nintendo franchises Paper Mario, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing are in development, although none of these have been confirmed as "launch titles".
